Registration Fee

There is a non-refundable yearly registration fee of $30 per student ($50 per family) due by August 15th.  Registration paid after May 1st will be credited towards the next school year.

Tuition

Individual lesson fees vary by teacher.  During the school year, a flat monthly rate will be charged.  This monthly rate includes tuition for private lessons, all master calsses, recitals, exam preparation classes and ensemble rehearsals.

Missed Lessons

Students are charged for all lessons and classes for which they register, including those missed due to student absence.  As a courstesy, please notify the teacher of an absence as far in advance as possible.  Lessons missed due to teacher absence will be made up at a  mutually agreeable time or a credit towards the next month's tuition given.

 

Summer Policy

Students are required to take a minimum of 4 lessons over the course of the 10 weeks of summer to retain their spot for the fall.  We will do our best to accomodate vacation and summer school schedules!  Please consult your teacher for more information.

Books

Teachers will often provide students with the necessary music and scores for their study.  The cost of these materials will be added to the next month's tuition or the parent may write a check for the materials at the time of receipt.

Parents 

We understand the challenges of managing multiple after school activities for various family members but ask that a parent always be present in the home when a teacher comes for a lesson.  If no adult is present, the student will have to miss the lesson.  No credit will be given.  Parents bringing students to our Ballard studio are not required to stay for the lesson.
