

Daniel Coughlan, Director

Dan has been teaching piano for over twenty-five years. He started lessons at age five and has had a number of notable teachers including Boris Berlin (writer of the ABC and Four Star books, one of Canada’s preeminent teachers), Peter Simon (current president of the Royal Conservatory of Music) and Dale Bartlett (noted accompanist). Dan has a degree in Piano Performance from McGill University in Montreal and was a member of the music faculty at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ont. before moving to Seattle.

Lucinda Dalrymple, Director

Lucinda has a B. Mus. From McGill University in Montreal and her Kodaly certification from Seattle Pacific University. As well as teaching piano for her music school, Lucinda is music specialist and choir director at Sammamish Christian School and Noah’s Ark Preschool. During the summers she can be found at Summer Fun! a performing arts camp. Lucinda is currently a board member of Northwest Kodaly Educators and has presented sessions in early childhood music education for that organization.
Jayme Filzen, piano
Tom Hecker, piano
Tom Hecker. Tom is currently accompanist for Pacifica Children’s choirs, Rain City Women’s Chorus and pianist at Woodland Park United Methodist. Tom has degree in Music Composition from the university of Montana and has done graduate studies in Piano Accompaniment at Arizona Stat University and in Kodaly methodology at Seattle Pacific University. Tom is also an accomplished Trombone player and happy to give lessons on that instrument as well!
