Coughlan Academies began accepting students in the fall of 1995. After arriving in Seattle from Montreal, Canada, Academy Founders Dan Coughlan and Lucinda Dalryple embarked on a project to bring music instruction to the students by offering In-Home Lessons. This accomodating approach was well received and the Academy was soon bringing in more talented teachers to meet the rising demand. A steady pattern of growth, based on providing highly skilled teachers with an accomodating business model, has continued throughout the past fourteen years.
